This policy covers personal information we collect through this website, and when you call, text or email us about a request made here.

What we collect, and why

We collect these categories of personal information:

• Identifiers and contact details: name, phone number, email address, service address or ZIP code. We use them to answer your request, prepare an estimate, schedule and perform the work, and keep records of it
• Project details: the service you ask about, a preferred date, and anything you write in the message box. We use them to understand and quote the job
• Communications: your calls, texts and emails with us and your contact preferences. We use them to keep in touch about your project and to honor opt-outs
• Internet activity: pages viewed, the link or search that brought you here, campaign tags, device and browser type, and IP address. We use them to keep the site secure and working and, if you have not opted out, to measure and improve our website and advertising
• Approximate location derived from your IP address, used for the same purposes as internet activity

Where it comes from

From you, when you fill in a form, call, text or email us. From your device, automatically, when you use this website. From the analytics and advertising services named below, as reports about how our website and ads perform.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run our business and this website, under terms that limit how they can use it:

• Our lead management system and the email service that delivers your request to our office
• Google reCAPTCHA, which checks that a form is sent by a person and not a bot. It reads device and browser signals and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service
• Google Maps, which shows our location on some pages and receives your IP address when the map loads
• Google Analytics 4, for website measurement
• Our website host, which processes the technical data every website visit generates
• GENESIS 98, the agency that builds and maintains this website, which counts page views on its own measurement service. It receives the page you view, the page that sent you, campaign tags and the technical data it needs to count unique visits, sets no cookie, and does not use the data for advertising
• Professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it

Text messages

We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number or your text messaging opt-in with third parties or affiliates for their marketing. Service providers that deliver our messages receive your number only to deliver them.

Selling and sharing

We do not sell personal information, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose that would give you a right to limit it under California law.

Your choices

Analytics and advertising tags run from your first visit unless you opt out. Use "Opt out" on the cookie notice, or the "Cookie settings" control in the footer of any page. It shows your current setting and lets you change it in either direction. Opting out switches off the tags already running and clears the cookies they set, without a reload.

We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request to opt out of sale and sharing, and apply it automatically. Browsers send "Do Not Track" in different ways and there is no common standard for it, so we rely on Global Privacy Control instead.

To stop text messages, reply STOP to any message from us.

How long we keep it

We keep request and project records for as long as we need them to respond to you, perform and document the work, honor any warranty, and meet our legal, tax and licensing record-keeping obligations. Then we delete or de-identify them. Website analytics data is kept no longer than the retention set in the analytics service, and the cookies' own lifetimes are listed in our Cookie Policy.

Your privacy rights

California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We honor the same requests from every customer. You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we use it and who receives it
• Give you a copy of it
• Delete it, subject to exceptions the law allows, such as records we must keep
• Correct it if it is inaccurate
• Stop any sale or sharing of it

How to make a request

To use these rights, contact us at info@avalonstudiodesignbuild.com or call (714) 642-2000. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days, and tell you if we need more time. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

To protect you, we verify a request by matching details you give us against the details we hold, such as your name, phone number and service address. You can ask someone to act for you as your authorized agent; we will ask for your signed permission and may ask you to verify your identity directly.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No website or system is completely secure, so please do not send payment card or bank details through our forms.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the "Last updated" date above. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell you before it applies.
